Professional vegetable mandoline - CHIBA Japan Quirélois
You must have already wondered how the vegetables and fruits that decorate the dishes in Japanese and Asian restaurants are prepared. The secret lies in this professional hand slicer. Any vegetable, fruit or cabbage can be chopped on the mandolin in a few minutes. Simply turn the wheel to obtain the thickness of the sliced food from 0.5 mm to 3 mm. Can cut food up to 67 mm wide. With this mandoline you can make both slices and noodles in two different widths of 1 mm and 2.5 mm.

Quirélois is a professional Japanese mandolin developed by Chiba Kogyosho, a company known for manufacturing industrial tabletop slicers for restaurants and hotels. This tool allows you to quickly and accurately slice fruits and vegetables into even slices or noodles, ideal for preparing dishes that require precise cutting, such as sashimi or tempura.
The Quirélois mandolin offers an adjustable thickness of cut from 0.5 mm to 3 mm and comes with two blades, including straight and comb blades with widths of 1.0 mm and 2.5 mm. The attachments can be changed quickly and easily and the main (flat) blade is very easy to sharpen. The included slicing holder ensures the safety of your fingers and its snug fit makes it easy to store in the bottom of the mandolin.
Thanks to its ergonomic design and easy handling, it is suitable for both professional chefs and enthusiastic amateurs. In addition, it is available in several colour options such as magenta, sand beige and black, allowing you to choose according to your personal taste.
The name "Quirélois" is a pun derived from the Japanese expression "切れるわぁ" (kireru wa), which loosely translated means "It cuts!" or "It's sharp!" This name reflects the high quality and sharpness of the blade that the mandolin provides.
Maintenance and cleaning: easy to clean. Dishwasher safe, but it is recommended to wash the blades by hand. It can withstand temperatures up to 70 °C.
