Product detailed description

Japanese Chef's Knife Gyuto/Chef Kiya UMEJI Tokyo - Fumio Murakami

Very sharp Japanese chef's knife 200 mm KIYA Umeji Japan. The knife spine and blade taper to a point for versatile use of the extraordinary cutting force. Cutting, slicing, cleaning meat, fruit and vegetables - nothing will be a problem for this unique Japanese-shaped knife. The GYUTO chef's knife is also suitable for cradling herbs, vegetables and nuts thanks to its higher tip. The long blade and comfortable Asian-style handle give you the best control when cutting and slicing. Japanese art, precision and new technologies make this knife unique.

Each of the knives from Mr. Fumio Murakami was made and sharpened by hand by a craftsman who inherited his skills from his father. The secrets of steel, knife making and knife skills have been passed down for six generations. KIYA Umeji Japan knives are made with the knowledge gained from the production of famous Japanese swords. These knives are really very sharp, flexible and incomparable. These knives are said to "have a soul".

The blade is made of Takefu V1 steel. The western 3x knurled handle is made of ebony wood. It is always neatly hand-polished, ergonomically shaped and designed for excellent hand control. This knife is suitable for right and left hand use.

We recommend purchasing a sheath or blade protector for the knife.
