Japanese chef's knife Gyuto/Chef from Kanetsune Damascus Namishibuki series

Very sharp Japanese Gyuto/Chef knife from Kanetsune Damascus Namishibuki series made of Japanese damascus steel. The knife spine and blade taper to a point for versatile use of the extraordinary cutting force. Cutting, slicing, cleaning meat, fruit and vegetables - nothing will be a problem for this unique Japanese-shaped knife. The Gyuto chef's knife is also suitable for cradling herbs, vegetables and nuts thanks to its higher tip. The long blade and octagonal handle provide the best control when cutting and slicing. You will appreciate the unsurpassed properties of the knife, for example, when slicing onions. The sharpness of the blade ensures minimal liquid leakage and your food will be full of juices and vitamins.

Namishibuki

Translated into English, it means "waves on the water surface". And when you look at the attractive damascus blade, it really does look like waves on the ocean surface. It is composed of 101 layers of damascus steel with a core of high-cut powder steel with a hardness of HRC 60.5-61.5. The Japanese traditional octagon handle "八角 柄" is made of black Plywood and is tastefully complemented with red micarta stripes, the Kanetsune emblem is engraved on the end of the handle. The method of attaching the blade to the Etsuke handle here is called thrusting, where the blade is heated and crashes into the handle. This knife comes in a deluxe wooden box with a Japanese saya(wooden blade cover), which is made of magnolia wood with a traditional "Kuro-Ishime" finish.
