Who is behind the KROP brand?
Behind the KROP Knives brand is Sinan Tansal - a Turkish dentist, musician and knifemaker, born in 1964 in Adana. In addition to his musical career in the bands Mavisakal, Karapaks and İnsanlar, he became famous for making prosthetic teeth for the film industry.
In 2014, he founded the KROP brand, under which he started producing handmade knives with a unique design and ecological approach. Since 2019, he has been running his own workshop in Istanbul's Karaköy district, where he continues to innovate and push the boundaries of modern cutlery.
Thanks to his multidisciplinary approach, combining craftsmanship, graphics and music, Tansal was able to create knives that are not only tools but also works of art.
