Product detailed description
Japanese chef's knife for vegetables Nakiri 160 mm
Knives from the series Sakai Takayuki 33 layers VG-10 are made of 33 layers of stainless steel - damasteel with a core of Japanese VG10 steel. The blades are extremely sharp and the core reaches a hardness of around 60 HRC. It holds sharpness well and gives a light and balanced impression. The handles of these knives are handcrafted from beautiful and contoured mahogany wood that is water resistant. Each knife is hand-ground at an angle of 18 degrees on each side, precisely to ensure maximum sharpness. We highly recommend that you see for yourself the outstanding performance and beauty of these damascus knives.
The Nakiri 160 mm Japanese vegetable knife is shaped more like a meat cleaver, but don't be fooled. With the 160 mm long blade, you can easily cut all vegetables into small cubes or strips. The height of the blade allows you to easily scoop the cut ingredients onto the blade and transfer them to the pot or pan. Nakiri knife made of damasteel steel with a core of Japanese VG10 steel has a perfectly balanced blade with Tsuchime (hammer finish). The surface not only gives the knife a great look, but also prevents the cut material from sticking to the blade
We recommend to buy a wooden cover for the knife - HERE.
